The DD5p delivers many of the benefits of a short-barreled rifle in a more accessible, versatile pistol package. Built around a 12.5" Cold Hammer Forged, chrome-lined barrel and a mid-length gas system, it uses a user-adjustable gas block for a consistent feel—suppressed or unsuppressed—and ships with the Daniel Defense Linear Compensator. A perfected, buffered bolt-carrier group reduces overall recoil impulse and is easy to maintain in all conditions. The innovative 4-Bolt Connection System dramatically increases the barrel-to-upper receiver contact area for greater rigidity and stability, helping extract accuracy typically not found in pistols. Rounding it out are fully ambidextrous controls, a Daniel Defense enhanced pistol grip, an SB Tactical SBA3 brace, and the GRIP-N-RIP ambi charging handle with anti-gas features for a better shooting experience.
