This is a factory STAINLESS STEEL 8-round magazine for the full-size (Government model) 1911 in .45 ACP
These steel magazines are put through multiple tests to assure ever lasting service. Wilson Combat fortifies the steel on these magazines by soaking the steel in a protective coating called ProtectaClear. ProtectaClear is a crystal clear protective coating that will protect metal from tarnish, oxidation and rust. ProtectaClear is a thin coating that is tough (Pencile hardness H8) and yet remains flexible so it will expand and contract with the metal.
The enternals of this magazine include a fiber-filled nylon self-lubricating follower, and a steel compression spring to assure minimal friction and sustainability when in the field or out in the range.
