IWI Galil Ace Gen II Key Features and Upgrades

The Gen II designation brings meaningful improvements over its predecessor. A full-length 2-piece Picatinny top rail spans 18 inches, giving you ample real estate for optics, red dots, or backup sights. 

The free-float M-LOK rail forearm allows you to mount lights, lasers, and accessories without influencing barrel harmonics, keeping your point of impact consistent shot to shot. The updated trigger profile delivers a smoother, more consistent pull than earlier generations, and the shortened safety profile reduces the throw distance for faster manipulation under pressure.

The left-side reciprocating charging handle sits on a milled steel receiver, allowing for natural weak-hand operation without breaking your firing grip or repositioning the firearm. These refinements, taken together, make the Gen II a meaningfully better shooter than the platform it replaces.

IWI Galil Ace Gen II Build Quality and Construction

IWI built the Galil ACE Gen II to perform in demanding conditions without added bulk. Modern polymer components reduce overall weight to 7 lbs. 14.8 oz. while preserving the rugged, battle-tested construction the Galil platform is known for. The 13-inch barrel is cold hammer forged and chrome lined for superior wear resistance, extended service life, and reliable performance in adverse environments. Chrome lining also makes cleaning faster and more effective after high round counts.

The black matte finish resists corrosion and keeps the profile low-visibility in the field. M4 magazine compatibility means you are never far from a spare mag, whether at the range or in the field, eliminating the need to stock a proprietary magazine system.

The side-folding, adjustable telescoping stabilizing brace is one of the most practical features on this pistol configuration. It folds to the side for a dramatically reduced overall profile, making the firearm far easier to transport, store, or maneuver in confined spaces.
